Why You Need an Early Detection Plan

The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect the disease in its early stages. When breast cancer is found early, the 5-year survival rate is 98%, which is why there are over 2 million breast cancer survivors today. Whether you are 20 or 80, you need an early-detection plan. The following interactive tool is NBCF’s commitment to helping you create and follow your own plan.

What is an Early Detection Plan

If you are the 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, an Early Detection Plan (EDP) is the best way to detect the disease in its early stages. The EDP below is an interactive tool to help remind you to schedule breast self – exams, mammograms, and clinical breast exams and includes a flexible reminder system using email notifications, calendars, and text messages. We all have busy lives. That’s why NBCF lets you decide how you want to be reminded.
